Faculty Positions
The Faculty of Law at The University of Western Ontario is
in the midst of a continuing process of growth and
rejuvenation. This has included the appointment of several
new members of Faculty in recent years, and the Faculty
expects to continue to make additional appointments in the
years to come. Western's goal in its appointment process is
to demonstrate its commitment to excellence in teaching and
research, and to promote a law program that is both
rigorous and challenging.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Faculty invites applications for appointments, tenure-
track and limited term, to commence on July 1, 2009. The
Faculty will consider applications from top-quality
candidates with interests in all areas of the law.
Appointments may be made at the levels of Assistant,
Associate or full Professor, as qualifications and
experience warrant.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
To be eligible for appointment, candidates must have a
superior academic record. This normally includes a relevant
advanced graduate degree, or its equivalent. Candidates
must demonstrate a record of, or a strong potential for,
excellence in scholarly research and teaching. They should
in addition have the ability and willingness to contribute
to the intellectual and scholarly life of the Faculty
community and to the University more generally.
